research and narrative

Research sets the stage. Narrative brings audiences to their feet.

NurtureStructure has extensive experience conducting research into some of the most pressing sustainability issues and transforming the research into narrative that engages, inspires, and motivates.

The new reality is that research on its own is not enough – communication shaped around a strong narrative is the key to awareness, action, and success.

“Saving our planet is now a communications challenge.”

Sir David Attenborough

All NurtureStructure research and narrative projects are led by Scott Burnham. Burnham has developed research and narrative projects for numerous institutions and companies including the Netherlands Institute for Design, The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, and The Boston Society of Architects, and is the author of five books on research-based solutions for pressing social and environmental issues.

Our extensive experience includes environmental reporting and industry-specific insights, case studies, and inspiring explorations of specific issues leading to opportunities and solutions.

Sustainability Strategies for Numerous Climate Zones

We are partnering with a landscape architecture firm and a national assisted living facility corporation to research sustainable design strategies and set environmental standards for properties in numerous USDA climate zones.

The extensive body of research we are assembling will be crafted into an organizational narrative communicating the benefits each property’s management and community can achieve by implementing the sustainability standards.
